Bio:

I am a biomedical engineer conducting research in the areas of cell migration and mechanotransduction. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Quantitative Morphogenesis Lab at the University of Toronto where I study the molecular processes that drive cell adhesion and cytoskeletal rearrangements during embryonic wound healing. During my PhD in the Cell and Molecular Mechanobiology Lab at Duke University, I studied the molecular mechanisms underlying transmission and sensing of physical cues through focal adhesions of the cell. I am preparing for an academic career as a professor at a research intensive university.
